Control Solutions’ AddMe III Model AM3-SM Programmable I/O for Modbus RTU has 32 I/O points, and operates as a master or slave for I/O expansion, or as a controller with soft PLC capability. The AM3-SM features 18 analog/universal inputs with configurable type and scaling. You can individually configure each universal input for high resolution analog, fast analog, or discrete input. When configured as an analog input, the continuously self-calibrating sigma-delta converter produces 15-bit resolution with high noise immunity. When configured as a discrete or fast analog input, the converter switches to 10-bit resolution at 128 samples per second for fast response. All I/O points are accessed as Modbus holding registers.

The AddMe III also features 8 discrete outputs with Form A dry contact relays and HOA switches, 4 analog outputs sourcing 4-20mA, and 2 discrete inputs with pulse count capability to 5kHz.

Feature Highlights
• 18 Analog/Universal Inputs, 16-bit, Configurable as 0-10VDC, Thermistor, Dry Contact
• 4 Analog Outputs, 8-bit, 0-20mA (or 4-20mA)
• 8 Discrete Outputs, Form A Relay, 5A @ 120VAC, HOA Switches
• 2 Discrete Inputs, Pulse Count to 5kHz
• Modbus RTU 9600 to 38.400 Baud

Control Solutions’ AddMe III features 18 universal inputs which are context sensitive. When configured as an analog input, the continuously self-calibrating sigma-delta converter produces 15-bit resolution with high noise immunity. When configured as a discrete input, the converter switches to 8-bit resolution at 128 samples per second for fast response. All I/O points are accessed as Modbus holding registers.

Floating point holding registers provide data from the analog I/O points. In addition, analog (universal) inputs are mirrored to integer registers and may be treated as on/off values. Linearization tables are provided for 10K and 20K type II, III, and IV thermistors. Input type and scaling is configured by writing to additional holding registers.

The AddMe III Configuration Tool is a user friendly configuration tool that provides simple templates for reading and writing the Modbus registers that configure the device. Connect the AddMe III to your laptop via any RS-485 adapter on your PC's COM port. .

i.CanDrawIt® is available at no additional cost for use with AddMe III controllers from Control Solutions. i.CanDrawIt® works just like an electrical schematic CAD program, except you draw control programs that look like circuits. The resulting software will function like the circuit you draw. i.CanDrawIt® includes visual program simulation as well as visual live debugging where supported by the target device. Set breakpoints or step through the program one visual function block at a time. Update variables and I/O objects in simulation or live.
