| Quick Help
Rules for walking tables are defined on this page. Rule
number simply tells you where you're at on the list of table walk
rules. Click "next" and "prev" to scroll through the list. To advance
directly to a specific rule, enter the desired number in the
"Showing" box, then click Update. The
walk will begin at the OID given as Table Name. It is not necessary to
start at the beginning of a table. To walk a section of the table, enter
an OID whose last field is the desired first index, minus one. The
Count will limit the scope of the walk. The
default table walk is simply referred to as the
"Normal" method in the expanded view of the table walk rule. For
special types of table walks, and additional rule settings, click on the
rule number to access the expanded view of the rule. Select the location or device that this table should be read from. The names in the device list are defined in the Devices page. Start
Object is the first BACnet object to be filled by this table walk, and
Count is the number of objects in the sequence that are to be affected.
The count also determines how many OIDs in the table will be read since
there is a 1 to 1 correspondence between table entries and local object
values saved. Poll
Rate (in seconds) sets the rate at which the table should be walked.
The amount of time to wait between table walks is entered. Be prudent
with poll rate - this will generate a lot of network traffic. Click Update
when all entries have been made. After all configuration has been
entered, be sure to go to the Config File page and click Save so that
changes are retained through power cycles. |
