Quick Help

This page is used to configure the Analog/Universal inputs. Select the configuration and enter optional qualifier and scaling values.

The first 12 Modbus objects are assigned to the 12 hardware inputs. The objects are set to be floating point, meaning they are read as register pairs starting at register 1. The last input would be registers 23-24.

Relay outputs are assigned to the objects immediately following the Analog inputs, and they are assigned to unsigend 16-bit integer values. Relay DO1 is Modbus register 25, and DO2 is register 26.

The "Is Persistent" option means this object will retain its most recent value through a power outage, with time delay restrictions as noted in the user guide. The persistent selection does not take effect until the Reset Persistent button is clicked on the Resources page. For inputs, this selection is only relevant for "Pulse counter" mode, in which case it turns the input into a totalizing counter. For any other type of input, the value will be immediately overwritten by new data and thus Is Persistent will have no meaning.

The VP6-1460 contains a coprocessor which handles direct I/O interface and also provides an i.CanDrawIt programming environment accessed via an external PC based tool. The status of the server's connection to the coprocessor along with its firmware revision is indicated here. If there is a user program running on the coprocessor, that is also indicated here.
